How to price a first edition
Count materials, time, and the cost of being able to make the next one. Then say the number out loud.

Pricing is not a personality test. It is arithmetic plus the nerve to keep the number when someone flinches.
Start with materials you cannot reuse, then the hours you would actually pay someone else, then a little for the next edition so you are not always starting from zero. If the total feels embarrassing, that is often a sign it is honest.
Say it out loud before you write it on a label. If you cannot hear yourself charge that, the edition is not ready — or the price is still too kind.
You can always lower a price later. Raising one after people have already bought feels like a retraction. Start where you can stand.

When you have a note of your own, send it. The shelf stays small on purpose.
